Bike riding for children

01/30/2013 06:22

Training a child to ride a bike for the very first time. When I started to write this blog I searched on the internet to see what others wrote about bike training. I couldn't believe what I saw. But then I assume all us parents have gotten and are far removed from our past. I saw instructions for bike riding that I could barely believe it was as if they figure we all awoke wet behind the ears and never road a bike for ourselves!
I have a feeling that you already know to purchase a bike that fits your child's size. I have a strong feeling that you know if you child cannot reach the pedals, to put blocks on the pedals. I am sure you are aware to hold onto the handle bars and walk side by side during the first few attempts that your child makes to ride their bike. I also have a pretty good idea that you will start them off with training wheels! Da, did we all forget how we learned to ride a bike what did we just fall off the back of a truck!

There are a few of good things to prepare your kids with when it comes to bike riding. First, I assume, all of the protective gear that many of us never used when we were learning to ride a bike. I would be remised not to mention the helmet, knee and elbow pads and hand gear. These are items today that are good for a child to wear while riding a bike.

The other important thing is safety and proper bike riding! You want to teach them to always look both ways before crossing the street with their bike you even might tell them to walk the bike across the street as an added protection against any accidents. You will want to teach them the hand singles that are used to turn right or left. Teach them to ride with the traffic not against the traffic. Most important teach them where to ride their bike. You might want to start off with limited areas that you know are safe for them. It takes time to know the use of a bike and children like to expand their territory… I am sure you know to teach them not to ride into other bike riders or anyone walking!

On a serious note; the very most important thing is that this is a bonding experience that you and your child will remember for a life time! Make it one worth remembering by practicing some patience, be understanding with your child. It takes some time to learn to ride a bike. Embrace the moment and enjoy the experience that can come to you and your child while learning or teaching to ride the bike. They love it when you are so very proud of them when they finally accomplish riding their very own first bike. They will remember it for a life time along with all of the love that you showed them relevant site

New Driver here are some driving tips

01/29/2013 18:45

Here are a handful basic driving tips for new drivers, safety rules, and getting cheap driver classes and cheap insurance.

A lot of new drivers go over the speed limits, don't put their blinkers on to turn, and do not stop at stop signs or red lights! The yellow light doesn't mean to go real fast. It is not cool to do 360's or 180's in a parking lots. Life is not the movies! So, if you want here are a few basic driving tips to follow if you are new driver and want hide your inexperience and make driving more enjoyable for yourself and the other drivers on the road.

Your Hands on the Wheel:
It may sound easy, but many people and new drivers especially, have trouble following a simple suggestion. Before your car ever leaves the driveway, adjust your mirrors, seat and anything else you may have to before you drive. Doing this prevents you from making these adjustments while driving on the road, which can easily take your eyes off of what is in front of you and create a dangerous situation. After backing out of the driveway put the car in drive take your hands off the wheel and go very fast!

Touching the Radio:
Everyone has fun listening to the music when driving. It helps pass the time away, and can make short drive-bys fun, especially when the radio is blasting. The best way to change the channel when you are a new driver is to take your eyes off the road bind over to see what channel your radio is set on! Next start changing the channels don't worry about the road it is not going anywhere!

Your Cell Phone:
Today, everyone has a wireless. Text, email, phone calls, music--today's wireless phones are multimedia powerhouses. They are good driving aids. If you are driving down a highway going 55 miles an hour or more it can be lots of fun texting. I love to text and make hard turns! Your friends always need to know where you are and what you are doing so always call them on your cell. If the police pull you over for using the cell just throw it under your seat. Not hard you will want to pick it up later when you leave. Just simply say "Who me, never!"

Your Seat Belts:
Everyone knows seat belts are the law. You've seen the signs and heard it a million times. What I always suggest is to put your seat belt over your shoulder this way everyone you pass will think you've got your seat belt on. At least if you're in an accident you can get out of the car fast!

Your Lane:
Yet, another apparent rule of driving that many people just can't follow. When you are on a three lane highway, use them. Do not waste your time looking before you enter the next lane, let the other drivers on the road worry about what you are going to do next. Go from one to the other to get ahead of the other drivers on the road. You'll show them who is who. It is best to do this with "no hands!!!"

Gassing:
One of the other most common issues that most people suffer from when trying to start their vehicles is under gassing the car. When you're at a red light you want to gas your carso you can get off the line first!

Stopping:
One of the most common mistakes that new drivers make is when stopping. You should slam on your brakes. This will ensure that your vehicle comes to a complete stop!

What Places will Provide Cheap New Driver Classes?

School districts are usually a great place to go for cheap new driver classes. Depending on local department of motor vehicles regulations, cheap new driver classes may also be offered by the DMV, or additional DMV classes can be required after a new driver has too many points on their probationary license. Be sure that when you're with the instructor to follow this one rule; never stop at a stop signs and when you are asked simply reply "Didn't you look!"

Will Safety Classes Get You the Cheapest Car Insurance for New Drivers?

Yes, driving safety classes can help you get you the cheaper car insurance for new drivers. Although, the level in which new driver car insurance is discounted after safety classes varies between insurance companies, there are a range of classes that can help educate young drivers and lower their rates. What I always suggest is to get the cheapest policy, make the first payment and before the next payment is due cancel the policy this way you've the insurance card, proof that you are insured and you will have the cheapest of all insurance.

Panhandle with guitar in Red Bank New Jersey

01/25/2013 15:08

pedestrians started to gather around him listening and admiring the young panhandling teen and his good music. Even more money started flowing out when I overheard one older lady say to her husband, "He is going to be a star one day!" The kid replied, with a humble smile, "I hope so." Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the panhandling teen does become a famous star one day. Afterward, a young woman took the time to walk out of one of the restaurants, and all the way across the street to drop some money into his jar. She said something like, "It isn't much, but it's all I have." It seemed as if that struck a chord with the teenager. Someone actually came all the way over to him and gave him the last of their change. Such a kind and encouraging act it was done just for that teenager.

The young panhandler sure did put it all out there on the line. Completely putting it out there, himself on the line. This young teenager was panhandling with his guitar in hand in the middle of Red Bank New Jersey. He put it out there for all to see and enjoy his tunes. He did and they did all the same enjoying this beautiful day.

Well, it was getting close to 4 PM. "Time to go" I said to him. The young panhandling kid got into the car, and I drove him home to his mother. See, this is one of my 7 grandchildren of whom I am full of pride. He is doing what it takes panhandler to get to where he longs to be. He'll do it because he has the drive. He works his craft each and every day, pushing the limits out of his way.
